Synopsis

This examines the pivotal role of the library in advancing the institutional mission of forming individuals dedicated to God, the church, and society. Drawing on the experience of the Fundación Universitaria Seminario Bíblico de Colombia (FUSBC) within the Latin American context, it reflects on a responsibility that extends beyond access to information, encompassing ethical formation and the responsible use of resources in an environment where legal and ethical challenges may arise. The ethical formation promoted by the library contributes to the development of upright citizens—an essential quality in a context marked by corruption and a lack of values. The Scriptures, as a foundation, guide individuals and institutions in fulfilling their social mission, reminding us that the service and values of the Kingdom of God must be conveyed with responsibility and integrity. The chapter also examines the library’s commitment to vulnerable populations, identifying educational opportunities and creating inclusive spaces. It includes stories of hope and resilience that highlight the transformative power of love and care, as well as the importance of values-based formation.
